Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship a document.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about changes to this privacy policy. We post no annoying newsletters or promotions to our clients, and do not share your data with any third parties or “partners”  for such purposes.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. Our web servers run on Debian GNU/Linux, considered by many to be the most secure operating system available for such purposes.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OUR SSL ENCRYPTION: At the moment, we are using a self-signed SSL certificate here at (SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer.) Our certificate, generated with OpenSSL on a secure, Debian GNU/Linux system, provides the same encryption/security as a certificate signed by a CA or certificate authority, the only difference being that we created the certificate on our secure server and haven’t paid a CA (i.e. involved a third party to intervene in our security) to verify that we’re who we say we are. Some browsers will object to the security of the certificate, simply due to the lack of a third-party/CA signature, but it’s nothing about which to be alarmed. We believe that the client testimonials we have received, and our reputation working with translators are sufficient to vouch for our integrity.

If you do not see the lock icon in your browser’s address bar, and https:// before the URL (Uniform Resource Locator, or website address), then you are not connected using SSL security/encryption. To ensure that you are using said encryption, in the address bar, add https:// to the beginning of the URL and reload the page (or click here). As mentioned above, your browser may warn you about the lack of a CA signature on our certificate. It is up to you to decide whether you trust us, of course, but we recommend that you simply disregard the warning. As stated above, we believe our reputation with both clients and providers stands on its own to verify our integrity and professionalism.

Although it is rare, our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.

If you feel that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately via telephone at 203-759-8352.
